Title

Bangalore, India 1906

Description

The ornate statue of white marble depicts a middle aged Queen Victoria wearing fine royal regalia which includes her crown, her robe, and jewelry. She holds an ornate scepter and the sovereign's orb while she gazes far off into the distance with a stern, but dignified expression on her face. The statue still shows the evidence of the vandalism it had recived in 2014 according to the most recent pictures available with the scepter being broken in half, a finger of the hand holding the scepter is missing, and the cross on top of the sovereign's orb has been broken off. The vandalism has been left unrepaired to the best of my knowledge, but the statue remains in Cubbon Park.
