Statue Essay on Queen Victoria Statue in Queen's Gardens, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

Title

Queen's Gardens, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

Description

The statue depicts a more regal Queen Victoria standing in elegant robes with a crown and sceptar. She is standing atop a pedastal with a simple inscription of "VICTORIA 1837-1901." The statue is a beautiful dark bronze on a light pedestal of sandstone and granite. The statue is imperial in nature and takes great care to ensure she appears relatively young in appearance in contrast to her later in life.
